The Pays Basque is a Mecca for French Land Rover owners already, as the area is rich in places to explore away from the beaten track.
 
 
There is an established Land Rover club at Sare, which holds regular excursions, meetings and sort-outs. 
The whole area is criss-crossed with off-road tracks and is the venue for one leg of the French National Off-Road competition circuit.
